Roberto Bottini

Roberto received a degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Padua and a PhD in Anthropology and Epistemology of Complexity at the University of Bergamo. Before joining SISSA, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the New School for Social Research in New York (with Daniel Casasanto), at the University of Milano-Bicocca (with Davide again) and at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC) in Trento (with Olivier Collignon). Roberto's main interests are language processing and evolution, consciousness, abstract thinking and the cognitive neuroscience of blindness.

In the lab, Roberto co–lead with Davide the "Perceptual Experience and Word Meaning" line of research (Olivier Collignon is also a co-PI on the project). He's mostly based at Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC), where the neuroimaging part of the project is carried out.
